I took a week long workshop in grisaille and limited pallet still life painting. It's been about ten years since I painted in oil, they tend to be too stinky for me, so I use the less toxic stuff. I forgot how buttery and rich they are, and spent a lot of time just futzing around with them on my pallet. Here are some shots of the under painting, I'm still not finished with the final :(
